This unit of competency will provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to rescue a casualty in a low voltage emergency.

* Anyone needing to become a competent safety observer to observe and rescue an electrician performing live work.
* Mining Industry workers associated with electrical maintenance or installations.
Competencies covered in the course:
As a requirement under the electrical regulations regarding low voltage training, this course includes CPR training. The course also includes: legislation and regulations regarding low voltage and working live, requirements for a low voltage rescue kit, the responsibilities of a qualified safety observer, identifying hazards in a low voltage emergency and performing a rescue safely.
